Text to app: describe what you need, get a working app with AI inside, live for free

Describe it in a sentence at create.letbe.ai. LetBe draws a plan, you say yes, and it builds the app with the AI built into it. It goes live for free at its own address, hosting and https included. Sign-in, a database, file uploads and a phone-friendly frame come with it. No code to read, nothing to install, no hosting account, no keys.

What is text to app?

Text to app means you write what the app should do, in plain words, and a builder turns that text into a working app. No code to write, no screens to draw, no hosting to arrange. You are the one who knows what the app is for; the builder does the part that used to need a developer.

Create by LetBe is an AI app generator built for exactly that. The difference from most AI app makers is what comes out: not only pages and a database, but an app with its own AI part inside it, already hosted, already online at its own address. A booking page that answers questions, a customer portal that sorts requests, a team tool that writes the weekly summary, all from one sentence and one yes.

How the AI app generator works, from a sentence to a live app

  1. Describe the app in a sentence or two at create.letbe.ai. What it does, who uses it, what it should remember.
  2. Read the plan. Before anything is built, LetBe draws it: the screens, what the app keeps, who signs in, what the AI part does, what happens after, where it lives, and the cost in words.
  3. Say yes. The app is built step by step and you can stop it at any time. It is opened in a browser and checked before you see it.
  4. Try it at desktop and phone width. Tell it what to change in plain words; every change is a version you can go back to. Not the right look? Ask for another design.
  5. Publish. The app goes live at its own address, name.letb.app, with hosting and https included. It stays private to you until you open it to everyone. Share the address, or embed the app on your own site.

Prefer to build from the chat you already use? Your own ChatGPT or Claude can do the building through a connection to your LetBe account, and the app ends up in the same place. The ChatGPT page shows that path step by step.

An AI app maker that puts the AI inside the app

Most tools that create an app with AI use the AI to write the code and then leave the finished app without any. Here the AI is part of what you get. Every app can have its own AI helper built in, and the plan tells you in plain words what it will do before you say yes.

An AI part of its own

A helper that answers visitors, sorts requests, writes summaries or decides what happens next, inside the app. It runs on LetBe, so there is no model account to open and no key to paste.

Sign-in, a database, file uploads

People sign up and sign in, each sees their own records, and the app keeps what it should keep in its own database under your account. Photos and files upload where the plan needs them.

A look made for its world

Colours and type are chosen for the trade the app serves, not one shared look for every app. If it is not right, ask for another design.

Made for phones too

Every app comes in a phone-friendly frame. It can be installed on a phone like an app, and use the phone's location, camera, notifications and similar features when the plan asks for them.

An AI website generator too: it goes live at its own address

A LetBe app is a real website. When you publish, it goes live at its own address on letb.app, hosted by LetBe with https included, and it stays private to you until you open it to everyone. You can share the address as it is, or embed the app on a site you already have.

An owner console shows what the app keeps: its records, every version you have built, its usage, and whether it is published. There is no hosting account to open, no server to look after, and no plan to buy before the app is allowed online.

What do you pay, and when?

Nothing to start. A LetBe account is free, and going live at its own address costs nothing: hosting and https are included. The builder and the AI's answers inside your live app use your LetBe balance, which starts free. When it runs out, the app stays online and the AI helper waits until you top up. The plan tells you the cost in words before you say yes. Current numbers are on the pricing page.

AI app generators side by side

Lovable, Bolt, Base44, v0 and Replit Agent all generate an app from a description, and each builds a real one. They differ on who does the building, what happens to the AI inside the finished app, where it lives, and what you set up yourself. We make the first column, and we say so.

Rival columns were checked on each vendor's own site when this page was written. Plans and features change; the vendor's site is always the final word.

Lovable

Builds and publishes from its free plan at a lovable.app address, and the AI inside the app is built in with the key managed for you. That AI runs on the workspace's allowance: the free plan gets a small monthly grant, and when it reaches zero, AI features in live apps stop while the pages keep serving.

Bolt.new

Publishes free at a bolt.host address, public on the free plan, with a database and sign-in built in and a real code editor in the browser. AI inside the app is your own affair: you paste a provider key as a secret and the provider bills you.

Base44

Every app is live at a base44.app address from the moment it is created, with sign-in and data built in. AI calls inside the app draw on an integration allowance; when it runs out, the action fails and the app's users see a generic error until it is topped up.

v0

Vercel's agent generates a full-stack app from a prompt, and you refine it by chat, in Design Mode, or in the code view. Databases, sign-in and AI providers are added as integrations, the AI ones through Vercel's AI Gateway paid from your Vercel balance. Publishing goes through Vercel to a vercel.app address, on the free plan.

Replit Agent

Turns plain language into an app and adds a database and sign-in when you ask, with a code editor underneath. For most AI providers you paste your own key into the app's secrets; a few services are billed to your Replit account without one. The free plan includes one published app at a replit.app address, which goes down after a set period.

Where LetBe Create falls short

There is no drag and drop editor and no code editor in the browser. Every change is a sentence and a new version, which suits most people and frustrates a few. If you want to move boxes around by hand, Lovable's visual editor or v0's Design Mode fit that better; if you want to hand-edit code, Bolt and Replit do.

The plan comes first, and nothing is built until you say yes. That is the point, but it means the first screen takes a moment longer to appear than in a tool that starts generating the instant you press enter.

The AI helper inside a live app draws on your LetBe balance. When it runs out, the app stays online and the helper waits until you top up. If you would rather have your own assistant do the building, the ChatGPT page covers that path, and the comparison of AI app builders puts eight of them side by side.

Text to app, the questions people ask

What is text to app?

Text to app means you describe the app you want in plain words and a builder turns that text into a working app, with no code to write. At create.letbe.ai you describe it in a sentence, LetBe draws a plan and builds the app, the AI is built into the app, and it goes live for free at its own address.

Can AI build an app from a description?

Yes. You describe the app in a sentence or two. LetBe draws a plan first: the screens, what the app keeps, who signs in, what the AI part does, what happens after, where it lives, and the cost in words. You say yes, and it is built step by step. It is opened in a browser and checked before you see it, and you can stop the build at any time.

Does the app have AI inside it?

Yes. Every app can have its own AI part built in: a helper that answers questions, sorts requests, writes or decides inside the app. It runs on LetBe, so there is no model account to open and no key to paste. The plan tells you in plain words what the AI part will do before anything is built.

Is the AI app generator free?

It is free to start. A LetBe account is free, and going live at its own address, hosting and https included, costs nothing. The builder and the AI's answers inside the live app use your LetBe balance, which starts free; you top it up only when it runs out. There is no plan to buy before the app is allowed online.

Where does the app live?

At its own address on letb.app, hosted by LetBe with https included. It is private to you until you open it to everyone. You can share the address, or embed the app on your own site. An owner console shows its records, versions, usage and publishing.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Every app comes in a phone-friendly frame, and you can try it at phone width before it goes live. Apps can be installed on a phone like an app, and can use the phone's location, camera, notifications and similar features when the plan asks for them.

Can I change the app after it is built?

Yes. Tell it what to change in plain words and it rebuilds that part. Every change is a version you can go back to. You can also ask for another design if the look is not right.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. There is no code to read, nothing to install, no hosting account to open and no keys to paste. You describe the app, say yes to the plan, try it, and ask for changes in plain words. If you already work with ChatGPT or Claude, your own assistant can do the building through a connection to your LetBe account instead.
