Build a website or an app with ChatGPT, with AI built in, and put it online for free

Your own ChatGPT builds it: the AI is built into the site or app, online for free at its own address. LetBe compiles it, checks it in a browser, shows you a preview to try, and hosts it with https included. A LetBe app is a real website: pages, sign-in, a place for its data, and its own AI helper. Nothing to install, no hosting account, no keys, no code to read. The free ChatGPT plan works.

Then paste it into ChatGPT.

Free to start. No card needed.

A free ChatGPT account adds the LetBe connection, then asks for an app and gets a preview to try. Recorded on chatgpt.com in a browser, no sound.

Can ChatGPT build a website or an app for me?

Yes. On its own, ChatGPT gives you code and leaves the rest to you: a place to run it, a sign-in, somewhere to keep the data, and a model account for any AI inside it. With a connection to your LetBe account, ChatGPT does the thinking and LetBe does the rest. ChatGPT plans the site or app, writes the pages, sets up sign-in and a database, and builds its own AI helper. LetBe compiles all of it, opens it in a browser to check that it works, hands you a preview, and puts it online at its own address when you say so.

A website and an app are the same thing here: a LetBe app is a real website with pages, sign-in, a place for its data and its own AI helper, so a booking page, a customer portal or a team tool all come out of the same conversation. You never see the code unless you ask for it. You describe what you want, say yes to a short plan, try the preview, and ask for changes in plain words.

What happens after you paste the prompt

  1. ChatGPT asks you to add the LetBe connection once. It takes about a minute on ChatGPT's Plugins page, and one page holds the exact clicks. The video above shows it. You sign in to LetBe and press Allow.
  2. It asks what you are building. One question, in plain words. Or tell it what you do and it proposes a few ideas.
  3. It shows you a short plan and waits for your yes. The pages, who signs in, what the site keeps, and what its AI helper does.
  4. It builds the AI helper in your LetBe account and tests it with a few realistic messages until the replies read well.
  5. LetBe compiles the site or app: the pages, sign-in, the database, and the AI helper wired in. It opens the result in a browser and checks that the pages load and the helper answers.
  6. You get a preview to try. Open it, click around, and tell ChatGPT what to change. Each round gives you a new preview.
  7. Say "put it online". The site goes live at its own address on letb.app, with https, hosted by LetBe. You decide whether it is open to everyone or stays yours alone for now.

Changing it later works the same way: come back to the conversation, or start a new one with the same connection, and say what should change. LetBe rebuilds it, shows a new preview, and you put the new version online when it feels right.

Do I need ChatGPT Plus?

No. The free ChatGPT plan works. Use the web version at chatgpt.com in any browser, on a phone too; the ChatGPT phone app hides the settings where connections are added.

Today you add the LetBe connection by hand, from ChatGPT's Plugins page, once. A LetBe listing inside ChatGPT's own directory has been submitted, so this will become a search and an Install button; until then the connection page and the video cover every click.

What do you pay, and when?

Nothing to start. A LetBe account is free, building is free, and going live at its own address costs nothing: hosting and https are included. The AI's answers in your live site or app use your LetBe balance, which starts free. When it runs out, the site stays online and the AI helper waits until you top up. There is no plan to buy before the site is allowed online. Current numbers are on the pricing page.

The usual ways to build a website or app with ChatGPT, side by side

People who want ChatGPT to build them a website or an app end up on one of four paths: ChatGPT by itself, a browser builder such as Lovable, Bolt or Base44, or ChatGPT with a LetBe connection. Each builds a real site. They differ on who does the building, what happens to the AI inside the finished site, and what you have to set up yourself. We make the last column, and we say so.

Lovable

Builds and publishes from its free plan at a lovable.app address, and the AI inside the app is built in with the key managed for you. That AI runs on Lovable's credits: the free plan gets a small monthly grant, and when the balance reaches zero, AI features in live apps stop while the pages keep serving.

Bolt.new

Publishes free at a bolt.host address, public on the free plan, with a database and sign-in built in and a real code editor in the browser. AI inside the app is your own affair: you paste a provider key as a secret and the provider bills you.

Base44

Every app is live at a base44.app address from the moment it is created, with sign-in and data built in. AI calls inside the app draw on integration credits; when those run out, the action fails and the app's users see a generic error until the balance is topped up.

Where ChatGPT with LetBe falls short

There is no drag and drop editor for the pages. Every change is a sentence to ChatGPT and a new preview, which suits most people and frustrates a few. If you want to move boxes around by hand, Lovable is the better choice today.

The connection is added by hand for now, on ChatGPT's Plugins page on the web. The ChatGPT phone app hides those settings, so the first minute happens in a browser. The listing inside ChatGPT that removes this step has been submitted; there is no date to promise.

A free LetBe account holds a small number of AI helpers. ChatGPT tells you when you reach the limit, and the site itself is not affected. If you would rather build with Claude or a coding assistant, the free AI app builder page covers the same prompt for those, and the comparison of AI app builders puts eight of them side by side.

Building a website or app with ChatGPT, the questions people ask

Can ChatGPT build a website?

Yes. Paste the prompt from this page into ChatGPT and your own ChatGPT builds it through a connection to your LetBe account: the pages, sign-in, a database, and the AI is built into the site or app. LetBe compiles it, shows you a preview to try, and it goes online for free at its own address.

Can ChatGPT build an app?

Yes, the same way. A LetBe app is a real website with sign-in, a place for its data and its own AI helper, so a booking page, a team tool, a customer portal or a small to-do app all come out of the same conversation. You describe it, say yes to a short plan, try the preview, and ask for changes in plain words.

Can ChatGPT build a website and host it?

On its own, no: ChatGPT gives you code and leaves hosting to you. With the LetBe connection, yes: LetBe compiles what ChatGPT builds and hosts it at its own address on letb.app, with https included. There is no hosting account to open.

Do I need ChatGPT Plus?

No. The free ChatGPT plan works. Use the web version at chatgpt.com in any browser, on a phone too; the ChatGPT phone app hides the settings where the connection is added.

Can I add AI to the website ChatGPT builds?

Yes, and that is the part most tools leave to you. ChatGPT builds an AI helper inside your LetBe account, tests it with a few messages, and wires it into the site: a helper that answers visitors, sorts requests, summarises or writes. It runs on LetBe, so there is no model account to open and no key to paste.

Does it cost anything to put it online?

No. A LetBe account is free to start, and going live at its own address, hosting and https included, costs nothing. The AI's answers in your live site or app use your LetBe balance, which starts free; you top it up only when it runs out. The site itself stays online either way.

Where does the site live?

At its own address on letb.app, hosted by LetBe with https included. You choose the name. Its data lives in its own database on LetBe, under your account, and sign-in is built in so each user sees their own records.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything happens in ChatGPT in your browser and on LetBe. The one setup step is adding the LetBe connection to ChatGPT once, from a page with the exact clicks; the demo video on this page shows it. You can remove the connection from ChatGPT at any time.
